Project Description:
In early 2024, I was engaged by a local agency to collaborate on a project for Hitachi Japan, focusing on their Showa Shock Absorber product. The objective was to create two dynamic 20-second 3D animations showcasing the shock absorbers in action, featured within the latest models of the Honda WRV and Kawasaki ZX25R sports bike. This project allowed me to blend technical precision with creative storytelling to effectively highlight the performance and engineering excellence of Showa Shock Absorbers.

Video Outputs:
Honda WRV Animation:
Sequence: The animation begins with the Honda WRV in motion, cruising at a fast pace. The vehicle's body gradually fades to alpha mode, revealing the shock absorbers in action. The video then focuses on the detailed movement of the shock absorbers before the vehicle returns to its full, opaque form.
Kawasaki ZX25R Sports Bike Animation:
Sequence: Similar to the Honda WRV, the animation starts with the Kawasaki ZX25R speeding along. The body of the bike transitions to alpha mode, allowing viewers to see the shock absorbers in motion. The scene ends with the bike returning to its solid state.

Storyboard Core:
Storyboard Core:
The core of the storyboard for both videos was consistent, emphasizing the functionality of the shock absorbers through a seamless transition from the vehicle's exterior to its internal components. This approach effectively highlighted the shock absorbers' performance under dynamic conditions.

Additional Creative Elements:
Additional Creative Elements:
To enhance the sense of speed and motion, I incorporated a beam line motion effect that trails behind the vehicles as they move. This effect not only added visual excitement but also underscored the high-performance nature of the vehicles and the shock absorbers.

Technical Details:
Technical Details:
3D Models: The 3D files of the Showa Shock Absorbers were provided by Hitachi, ensuring accurate representation of the product.
Animation: The animation process involved careful synchronization between the vehicle's motion and the shock absorbers' operation, creating a fluid and realistic depiction of the product in action.
Visual Effects: The alpha transition and beam line motion were key visual effects used to create a compelling narrative and draw attention to the shock absorbers.
